Casual summer outfit inspired by my Tropical Bird print
Summer will officially arrive this Friday. It's my favorite time of the year with its long days, warm weather and sounds of birds chirping. Today I wanted to focus on a fun casual look inspired by my Tropical Bird print.

Friday feature: Lego artist Nathan Sawaya
What do you get when you combine Legos with art? Well, you most likely will get the fun sculptures created by Nathan Sawaya. According to his website:
If you are in the NY area, you can see his latest exhibit at Discovery Times Square (226 West 44th Street). The exhibition opens on June 14th, 2013 (today!) and will be on display until January 5th, 2014. Below are just a few samples of Nathan's fabulous work:
Please note: This is NOT a sponsored post. I never actually met Nathan. I'm just an admirer of his work and thought it would be fun to share it with you. (You're welcome!). Also, all of the images used in this post are property of Nathan Sawaya.
Nathan Sawaya is a New York-based artist who creates awe-inspiring works of art out of some of the most unlikely things...Sawaya’s art form takes shape primarily in 3-dimensional sculptures and oversized portraits. He continues to create daily while accepting commission work from around the world.I love art so much that it was one of my majors in college. What I especially like about Nathan's work is that he makes it relatable to practically everyone, including children. What a great way to introduce them to fine art and sculpture in a fun and non-intimidating way. Bravo!

Creative wreaths
I'm not a big fan of traditional dried flower wreaths and find them a bit stuffy for my taste. These wreaths, however, are fun, original and very creative. Aren't they just fabulous?!?
I am inspired to make one for myself, however, I can't decide which one I should attempt. Which one is your favorite?
